Néstor is a professional Coffee Trader, Roaster and Barista with over a decade of experience in the industry in the UAE. Born and raised in Sonsonate, El Salvador, Nestor developed a passion for coffee at a young age, inspired by his closeness to the coffee farms and the family coffee drinking tradition, He gained his skills at a prestigious coffee academy in El Salvador and and got his SCA (Specialty coffee Association) Diplomas in the UAE where he also became an SCA AST (Authorized Trainer). Nestor has worked in some of the most recognized coffee roasteries across the UAE gaining invaluable experience that allowed him to found his own coffee company Mayan Coffee Trading, offering a range of products and services such as greeen beans sourcing, barista training, roasted coffee for coffee shops and restaurants. In addition to his work as a Roaster, Nestor is passionate about sharing his love of coffee from different origins with others and is especially proud of the coffee from El Salvador. He regularly attends to workshops and cupping sessions that allows him to expand his knowledge and helps him to establish connections with buyers and coffee farmers in his home country.
